Federal Funding To Support French Culture In Red Lake

The Red Lake Francophone Association is on the receiving end of nearly $50,000 from the federal government.

The money comes from FedNor and will be used to promote the local Francophone community and the many events, activities and services the Association offers.

It is also aimed at attracting more French-speaking families and newcomers to Red Lake.

The Association says the investment will help create opportunities for Francophone’s to interact with one another, and explore partnership opportunities that will lead to new economic development and cultural initiatives.

Kenora MP Bob Nault says the Red Lake Francophone Association works very diligently within the community to ensure that Francophone culture remains vibrant.
