A major investment for the Thunder Bay area from FedNor.
The PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise is receiving $1.5-million to offer workshops, training and mentoring activities to women entrepreneuers across northwestern Ontario.
Thunder Bay’s Airport is getting $1.5-million to expand their industrial park.
FedNor funds are also going to the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre.
The Centre is getting $739,000 to create a manufacturing lab.
Another $680,000 is going towards two small businesses working on developing a digital mammography device.
Minister Tony Clement made the announcement in the Lakehead on Tuesday.
