Federal Government Looking at Northern Ontario

Ottawa has come up with an action plan for Northern Ontario.
FedNor Spokesperson Rob Stinchcombe says the document contains 78 recommendations on ways to make the North a more prosperous place to live and work.
The suggestions focus on access to funding, telecommunications, the quality of life and keeping youth in the region.
Stinchcombe adds they have established initiatives aimed at keeping youth in the region.
Over 300 Northerners took part in drafting the plan.
A progress report on the status of the recommendations is due out in 2 weeks.
