Federal Infrastructure Minister Amarjeet Sohi says they are listening to area concerns surrounding infrastructure funding.
There have been repeated calls from local governments for a different approach to funding large infrastructure projects.
Sohi says he can’t commit to changes until all consultations are completed.
Kenora MP Bob Nault has stated he would like to see a review of the formula, noting he’s always supported an 80-20 formula.
Several communities, including Dryden, have stressed they can’t afford their portion of the current one-third funding formula.
