The Harper Government is making a major investment in culture in Northwestern Ontario.
The Feds are spending more than $1.6-million on 48 regional programs.
Sioux Lookout is receiving roughly $27,000 for Centennial celebrations as well as the Sioux Mountain Music Festival.
The Sioux Hudson Entertainment Series is getting $20,000.
Red Lake is accepting $9,200 to upgrade the museum.
The Dryden Entertainment Series is accepting $10,000 and $50,000 is going to the Trout Forest Music Festival in Ear Falls.
Ignace and Alex Wilson Coldstream are also receiving funding to support their community newspapers.
