Feds Invest In Pikangikum

The Federal Government is investing in Pikangikum First Nation.
The remote northern community now has more sustainable housing options with the completion of a 7-unit multi-housing project.
Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada provided $800,000 towards the project.
FedNor has also provided nearly $279,000 for the Whitefeather Forest Community Resource Management Authority.
The money will help identify the most viable products and markets for a proposed sawmill to be operated by Pikangikum.
