A specialist in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is making a return visit to the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board on Tuesday.
Dr. Gideon Koren will be visiting the newest Transitions North classroom which is located in Keewatin Public School.
Koren is with the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and also heads up the MotherRisk program.
Koren will be giving a special presentation on FASD to local physicans throughout the region and then meet with the public school board’s Transition North staff.
The Board offers Transition North Programs for students with FASD symptoms at Sioux Mountain in Sioux Lookout and Open Roads in Dryden.
