Fees Skyrocketing At Whiteshell Provincial Park

Cottage lease fees are going through the roof at a provincial park just inside Manitoba.
Cottagers in the Whiteshell Provincial Park will see a 250% increase over ten years, while lakefront owners will see a 750% hike.
Tom Walker with the Cottage Owners Association says lease fees aren’t the only concern.
The service fee increase is also 247%.
Walker says lakefront properties will see increases over $5,000 between the two hikes.
He notes the province has not held proper budgetary consultations in 7 or 8 years.
Walker says the association is prepared to take legal action.
