Fire Safety A Major Issue During Deep Freeze

Everyone is trying to stay warm right now and that has local fire services promoting fire safety.
Richard Wetelainen is the Chair of the Wabigoon Fire Services Board and says often people don’t get their chimneys, wood stoves and other heating instruments properly inspected.
Wetelainen says chimney fires are a major concern this time of year.
He notes people often overlook inspections as a way to save money.
Wetelainen stresses keeping your family and friends safe is well worth the investment.
He adds pipes should also be cleaned and inspected.
