The Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce says it’s pleased with the turn-out for last night’s all-Candidates forum.
About 85 people attended the two hour session.
NDP Candidate Glen Archer says he really wants to focus his attention on health care, and ensuring local residents get the best care available close to home.
“For some people, they can’t drive. Some seniors and people with mobility issues and people with health requirements, they’re having to pull family members out of work. We would would much prefer to have if we could bring the services here.”
Liberal candidate Karen Kejick says the Kenora-Rainy River Riding needs a change and believes she can be that
voice at Queen’s Park.
“Some of the decisions that were made, I was not at Queen’s Park for. Once I decided to step up, I realized that I’m not afraid of challenges.”
For her Part, Green Party Candidate Ember McKillop says if you care about our enviornment, you should vote Green.
“I think voting for Green says that this to me is important and it’s important enough to get my vote.”
Conservative Candidate Greg Rickford is promising a Ford government will bring fiscal responsibility back to government, but still invest in things like the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and top up the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund.
