Fewer Charges Laid By OPP In Dryden/Ignace Last Week

A drop in calls for Provincial Police in Dryden and Ignace this past week.

Officers responded to 296 calls for service, down from 356 from the previous report.

A total of 48 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code.

That’s down significantly from the 124 the week before.

Some of the calls Police attended were:

-RIDE: 5
-E-Ticket (or Provincial Offence Notices for Traffic Violations): 45
-Alarm: 10
-Assault: 4
-Bail Violations: 1
-Drug Offences: 3
-Domestic Occurrences: 5
-Mental Health Act: 8
-Trespass to Property Act: 5
-Liquor Licence Act: 12
-Motor Vehicle Collision: 11
-Police Assistance: 10
-Traffic Complaint: 26
