Final Election Results

The final official election results for the Kenora Riding are finally
in.
Liberal Roger Valley picked up 10,402 votes, Conservative
Bill Brown finished with 8,904, Susan Barclay of the NDP with 8,390 and
Green candidate Dave Vasey with 710.
Local Returning Officer Jerry Oulette says the late results were
due to delays at 2-polling stations in Sandy Lake.
Oulette says voter turnout was about 63%, which is almost an
8% increase from 2004.
The National turnout rate stood at 64% this year.
