Trapper Saved in Red Lake

A Red Lake Conservation Officer is a hero today after rescuing a
trapper who was stranded on Trout Lake.
James Guise was on routine patrol when he followed snow machine
tracks onto the lake.
The officer witnessed air holes and slush pockets in the ice before
finding equipment, an abandoned sled and the trapper.
Guise rushed the man to Red Lake after his sled stalled in slush.
The trapper suffered mild hypothermia and frostbite.
