Even though the forest fire situation is still volatile and smoke is covering much of the Far North, plans are still in place for all evacuated residents to return home today. (Wednesday)
The Dryden Regional Airport has been acting as the transportation hub and acting Coordinator Linda McNaughton says plans are in place to have Deer Lake residents returned home today.
Nearly 1,000 people will have passed through the Airport over the course of 5-days.
There has been increased activity on the 117-active fires that are burning, with smoke causing problems in several communities.
Red Lake has been the hardest hit from the smoke.
Final Evacuation Returns Planned Today
