Waterfront Plan Unveiled

The Dryden Development Corporation has released its vision for the Van Horne landing waterfront project.
The development would take place over a 25-year period, with the ultimate goal of a Winnipeg “Forks” style area.
Economic Development Manager Vicki Kurz says the first phase of the project would cost roughly $4.7-million.
The entire plan would cost $52-million, with support from private investors and partnerships.
Kurz is asking the City to support the project so she can start submitting funding applications.
She says there has been interest in the project from an outside investor.
The grand vision is a Museum, Outdoor Education Park, Amphitheater, Hotel, Restaurant, Marina and Housing.
