Final KPMG Report Unveiled Tonight

The long awaited operational and service level review will be presented to Dryden Council tonight.
KPMG will unveil its final recommendations.
City officials say they don’t expect a lot of change from the draft report which was presented on November 13th.
The report called for several cost cutting measures including implementing non-resident user fees for the rec centre, reducing the snow removal budget and pursuing solar opportunities, moving the provincial offences office to City Hall, turning the Barclay Landfill to a transfer facility, creating a standardized payment system for child care services and transferring Aaron Park to the provincial Government.
It also suggested closing the Barclay Fire Hall.
KPMG was tasked with finding solutions to Dryden’s current financial woes, but Council isn’t required to act on the suggestions.
The public meeting is 6:30 at the Aboriginal Housing building.
Personal and Labour relations suggestions will be presented during a closed meeting following the open session.
