After 5-years of work, the Provincial Government has unveiled its
final management plan for the Woodland Caribou Signature Site.
The area is comprised of Woodland Caribou Park, the Eagle Snowshoe
Conservation Reserve and the Pipestone-McIntosh enhanced management area.
Spokesperson Doug Gilmour says the plan allows for conservation and
industrial development.
The site is located west of Red Lake and Ear Falls and south of
Pikangikum First Nation and covers over 537,000 hectares of the Boreal Forest.
