The City of Dryden has completed its plan on improving future financial planning.
Council has paved the way for the rules surrounding a new Finance Committee as well as a new schedule for yearly budgeting.
Treasurer John Cummings says three Councillors and two staff members will sit on the committee.
The group can be tasked with a specific matter and work co-operatively with Council on any given day.
Cummings says Council can then debate the recommendations and make decisions based on the input received.
He notes the move will streamline the entire budgeting process.
Mayor Craig Nuttall, Martin MacKinnon and Norm Bush will sit on the committee.
Cummings says the council appointees are flexible based on availability.
