The financial impact of the current Dryden firefighter dispute is starting to come to light.
Treasurer Steven Lansdell-Roll was asked Tuesday to release the cost to the City by bringing in contract firefighters.
Originally, five individuals were brought in.
The cost to the City was $22,000 in March and $27,000 in April.
Now there are three contract firefighters and the projected cost for May is $16,500.
Lansdell-Roll says the housing budget is about $5,800.
In terms of legal fees, Lansdell-Roll notes that the City has incurred $5,000 in expenses by the end of March, about $6,000 in April and an estimated $2,000 could be incurred in May.
He suggests the firefighter budget could be looking at a deficit of just under $10,000 at the end of May.
He notes that could change because of additional legal bills and potential of added training costs.
