Fine for Pickle Lake Man

An incident in May has led a Pickle Lake man to be fined 2,250 dollars. Allan Ricky Martin was fined after admitting to having too many walleye in his possession. Martin and six other passengers on his boat were met by conservation officers on Kapkichi Lake in the Sioux Lookout area with over 40 walleye on May 23rd, the daily limit on walleye is four. Martin took responsibility for 15 over the legal limit. The Ministry of Natural Resources reminds anglers it is illegal to catch and keep large quantities of fish, and an individual may not have more than the possession limit of that species.
