The Dryden Ice Dogs have drawn first blood in their Best-of-7 Quarter-Final with the Duluth Clydesdales, with a 5-1 win Thursday night.
The Dogs used their playoff experience to upend the visiting Clydesdales, who were playing in their first ever SIJHL playoff game.
Thomas Greene scored three power-play goals.
Jesse Linner added a pair of markers even-strength.
Ben McClellan had a playoff game to remember with 5-assists.
Ian Perrier picked up the victory, making 16-saves.
Game 2 is Friday evening at 7:30 at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
