A pair of Red Lake men have learned an expensive lesson about not
putting out a camp fire.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says the two were fishing on Leoni
Lake last July and they failed to extinguish a fire before leaving.
High winds quickly whipped it into a wildfire that forced the MNR
to dispatch 2-waterbombers to put out the blaze.
The men have been told to pay $2,500 each as a result of
the incident.
