Sunday’s heavy rain provided some needed relief for Ministry of
Natural Resources fire crews.
Firefighters were called to at least a dozen fires across
Northwestern Ontario.
The MNR says 10-fire crews were called to a 1-square kilometre blaze,
about 180-kilometres north of Red Lake.

logging companies to move operations or cut down on risky activites because
of the dangers of sparks.
Forest harvesting restrictions are in place in the south Red Lake,
Sioux Lookout and east Dryden Districts.
