Fire At 7-11 Pumps in Dryden (UPDATED)

One person was injured in a fire at a gas pump at the 7-11 gas bar in Dryden Thursday evening.

Dryden Fire, Police and paramedics were all dispatched to the scene at 9:45.

18 Dryden fire fighters were involved in putting out the fire at the pump and a plastic fuel can.

One person was treated for burns.

UPDATE: The fire started on, or near a 20 liter plastic fuel container being filled.

The possible cause centers around a smoking material lighter dropped near the fuel container by the customer.

Damage estimates place the loss of equipment at over $25,000.00 at this time, until further test are conducted by service companies.
