Local firefighters worked well into the night Sunday to contain a large fire at the Dryden Landfill.
The Dryden Fire Service was assisted by Oxdrift, Wabigoon and Machin Fire Departments.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry provided air support with two helicopters.
The cause of the fire isn’t known at this time.
