Fire Crews Need Proper Training For Fire Season

With the seven-week-old Ontario public service strike possibly nearing an end, firefighters in the region will finally be able to prepare for the current forest fire season.
Dryden-based Union spokesman Carl Bleich says he is worried some crews do not have proper training because of the strike.
But, he adds, the weather has cooperated so far to help keep the threat of forest fires to a minimum.
