A mid-afternoon blaze has destroyed a garage on Basket Lake in Redditt, north of Kenora.
The fire broke out around 3:00 prompting response from the Redditt Volunteer Fire Department, the OPP and paramedics.
Fortunately no-one was home at the time.
The fire destroyed the garage and also melted some of the siding on the nearby home.
A pick up truck parked outside the garage was also badly damaged from the heat.
Fire crews managed to prevent the flames from spread to any neighbouring homes.
