Higher temperatures this weekend are expected to bring up the forest fire hazard in northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resource says it expects to see a moderate to high hazard, mostly in the western sectors.
There are eight active fires, all in the far north.
To date, there have been 204 fires, more than double than that at this time last year.
Meantime, the MNR is expected to send additional support to Alberta this weekend.
There are currently 101 personnel in the western province along with pumps and hoses.
