Fire Hazard High In Two Regions

Ten new forest fires have sparked in the past two days across northwestern Ontario.

One fire is burning just west of North Spirit Lake First Nation and is 5.5-hectares in size.

The other new start is 0.2-hectares right now and is located near Pikangikum.

The fire hazard is high in the Kenora and Red Lake districts but low to moderate in other parts of the region.
