French-speaking organizations across the region will now be able to dip into a $500-million fund established by the federal government.
Thunder Bay-Superior North MP Patty Hajdu announced the funding, pointing out that Francophone’s in our region can’t always get the services they need.
Hajdu admits it’s a challenge for official language minorities to access health care and justice services in their official language.
It’s not clear how much will go to local organizations.
