The Ministry of Natural Resources says its going to be keeping a close eye on the fire situation the next couple of days.
The hazard has moved into the high to extreme range across the region.
Information Officer Mitch Miller says they will be conducting fire detection flights over potential hot spots.
Miller adds that some forestry operations may have to shut down their activities in the bush due to the high risk of forest fires.
There are currently 9 blazes burning in the region.
