The Dryden Fire Service is urging residents to keep safety in mind as the bitter cold temperatures continue.
The winter months traditionally see more fires and carbon monoxide incidents in our area.
Emergency and Education Officer, Reagan Breeze says the accumulation of snow can block fresh air intake vents and bury gas meters.
Breeze is asking homeowners to keep all sidewall vents clear.
He notes if a vent becomes buried in snow, this may shut down you equipment and produce high levels of carbon monoxide inside the home.
