Quiet 2013 For Dryden Police Service

It was a quiet year last year for the Dryden Police Service, if you compare it to 2012.
The Police Service handled a total of 10,899 calls in 2013.
That’s down from 12,553.
Assault cases were up 22 and domestic incidents increased by 20.
Theft reports were up 23.
Police took more drugs off the street as the value of drugs and money seized was over $54,000, about $13,000 more than 2012.
Officers also spent 74-more hours on foot patrol.
Officials are pleased with a couple of stats.
Break and enters were down a total of 24 from 2012.
Mischief cases and traffic related incidents were also down significantly.
