Northwest Fire region crews were called out to two
islands on lake of the woods on Tuesday, because of shore
lunch campfires being left unattended.
Information Officer Debbie Mclean says people enjoying
the outdoors needs to pay more attention to their fires.

A total of eight new fire starts were reported earlier
this week.
Mclean adds because of the fire hazard being low in most
parts of the northwest, 51 four person fire ranger crews,
seven overhead staff, and two air attack officers have been
sent to help out in the east region.
