The Northwest Fire REgion responded to eight new fire
starts on Tuesday, two were recreational fires in teh
Kenora area.
Information Officer Debbie Mclean says one was in the
Pipestone Bay area, and the other one an island in the
Blueberry Inlet.

Mclean says 51, four person fire ranger crews, two over
head staff, and two air attack officers have been sent to
help fight blazes in the east.
She adds since the region’s crews are working in other
parts of the province, water bombers from Alberta have been
helping the remaining crews in Northwestern Ontario.
