About 100 fire rangers from Northwestern Ontario are on their way to Western Canada to fight wildfires.
Over the weekend, about 40 fire fighters were sent to British Columbia and another 60 flew out today.
MNR Information Officer Deb McLean says they are able to lend out the assistance because its been pretty quiet in this region over the past couple of weeks.
There were only 2 new blazes yesterday.
McLean says 40 firefighters in Manitoba will return home on Thursday after battling a huge blaze in Thompson.
