The FIREFLY children’s development agency says it’s encouraged by the results of the Transitions North classrooms with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
FIREFLY is a partner is the program, which is designed for students identified as having Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
CEO Karen Ingebrigtson says their role is mainly dealing with the students outside the classroom setting.
Transitions North expanded into Keewatin Public School in the fall and joins similar classrooms at Sioux Mountain in Sioux Lookout and Open Roads in Dryden.
