Workers at Firefly Child Treatment centres in northwestern Ontario have reached a tentative contract agreement with their employer.
No details of the settlement have been released pending the results of a ratification vote that is scheduled for October.
Union Spokesperson Amy Stamp says with the assistance of a conciliator an agreement was able to be made because both sides were committed to reaching one.
Firefly employees voted 76 per cent in favour of strike action last week.
