Fires Close Road(s) In Red Lake District

Wildfires in the Red Lake District have forced the closure of at least one road.
The MNR says North Road, just off Nungusser Road, is now closed to all traffic due to a fire.
Crews and equipment have moved into the area, which is about 35 kilometres north of the Municipality of Red Lake.
The MNR notes it is also possible that Nungusser Road will close later today if the fire situation intensifies.
Smoke from these and other fires has also drifted over Red Lake and other major communities in Sunset Country.
