With three business days left, the fund raising drive to save Dryden’s Canada Day Fireworks is close to reaching the $10,000 goal.
The “Dryden Fireworks Fund” at the TD Bank in Dryden has over $6,500 in deposits, and several significant pledges – including $1,000 from the Kenora District Camp Owners – are expected before Friday. Dryden’s Canada Day Fireworks typically cost about ten thousand dollars and the City cut funding this year. CKDR staffers established the trust fund with assistance from Dryden’s TD Bank and the station has thrown its support behind the cause. Contributions of any amount are being accepted at CKDR, Lotto One and the TD Bank in Dryden. E-Mail transfers can be sent to drydenfireworks@ckdr.net
