First Homicide of 2011 in Thunder Bay

Four men are facing murder charges after a 54-year-old Thunder Bay man was killed on the weekend.
Police say Robert Francis Topping died early Saturday in hospital from injuries he suffered after confronting four men breaking into a home.
Topping, who lived blocks away, had responded to a call for help from a female friend who was staying at the home.
Police say an altercation then took place inside the home.
Police say the four (Cody Allister Thompson, Christopher John
Hawk, Nicholas Andrew Webber and Sheldon Paul Ryan Wabason) are charged with first-degree murder and breaking and entering.
