The Chief of Attawapiskat First Nation says a central evacuation site
is needed in Northern Ontario.
Residents of the reserve were evacuated this week due to the threat of
flooding and were sent to a number of different communities.
Theresa Hall says it’s frustrating and notes she hopes the Government
considers building a centre to house evacuees from multiple communities.
Dryden has been in talks for the past year to become an evacuation
hub.
