The President of Cancer Care Ontario was in Thunder Bay Wednesday to
unveil the intensity modulated radiation therapy program.
Terry Sullivan says the therapy will enforce Northwest as a leader when
it comes to cancer care quality, access and satisfaction.
Officials say the therapy has already started in the region with
prostate cancer patients.
New technology means fewer side effects from treatment and better
survival rates.
