First Nations Claim Health Services Being Denied

The Independent First Nations Alliance of Northwestern Ontario has filed a lawsuit claiming access to medical services is being denied.
IFNA General Manager Grace Teskey says the suit has been filed against Health Canada, McMaster University and a university employee.
Teskey says the IFNA entered into a working relationship with the parties in August 2000 to provide doctors to work in various native communities.
However, Teskey says some health services have been denied for whatever reason.
She adds McMaster has also denied clinic space for a physician in Big Trout Lake.
