Last night, for the first time, First Nations Communities in the Kenora Riding listened to an All-Candidates Debate about their specific issues. Wawatay Native Communications hosted the forum and broadcast it live to over two dozen first nations communities in the Kenora Riding – as well as 20 other communities in other ridings. Grand Chief Stan Beardy says the First Nations hold the balance of power in numerous ridings….

The forum lasted well over two hours, with questions from the floor as well as those phones in from Northern Communities. Three of the four candidates were presents – Jo Jo Holiday of the Green Party was absent.
