First Nations are expecting good things from the Trudeau Government’s first budget.
The National Chief of the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, Dwight Dorey says its time for Prime Minister Trudeau to walk the walk, instead of talking the talk.
Dorey is looking for funding to help all Indigenous people, not just those living on reserve.
He says he’s optimistic about Tuesday’s announcement.
Social housing is expected to be a big winner during this first phase of infrastructure spending.
Dorey says he would like to see a government commitment to improve the quality of life for all aboriginal residents.
