First Nations Funding Cut

A First Nations group is disappointed with the Federal Government’s
decision to cut funding to preserve aboriginal language.
Claudette Commanda is the Executive Director of the First Nations
Confederacy of Cultural Centres.
She says since 2002 only $12.5 million out of a budgeted $172 has been spent.
The group is calling on area aboriginals to lobby the Government for
the money.
