Parking Changes at St. Joseph’s School

The City of Dryden continues to address ongoing traffic and pedestrian
safety concerns around St. Joseph’s School.
Back in September, Council approved a parking ban on the North side
of Spruce Street as well as a plan to drop off bus students at the school
parking lot.
Chief of Police Shayne MacKinnon says they have approved another safety
measure.
A School Bus Loading Zone designation in front of St. Joseph’s will be removed.
MacKinnon says the area on Parkdale road will be changed to a no parking zone
however parents will be able to stop and quickly drop off their kids.
MacKinnon adds a section of Parkdale road will also be designated a no
stopping zone.
He notes the Traffic Committee has held off on a plan to relocate
the current crosswalk on Parkdale Road to a location closer to the school.
