Starting in late 2007 fishery advisory councils will be
set up for the Province’s 17 management zones.
Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, and Peterborough are
acting as pilot sites this year.
Northwest region MNR Biologist Mark Sobchuck says the
volunteer group will play a large role in the future of
area fisheries.
