Fishing Infractions in Ignace

Non-resident anglers were the catch of the day for Ministry of Natural Resources Officers in Ignace.
During a recent check, Officers issued 19 tickets for various angling violations, with only 2 local fishermen breaking the rules.
Charges included having too many walleye, possessing an over-sized bass and dumping garbage on Crown Land.
The MNR says 2 other charges are pending.
